STRANGE DAYS is a vintage motorcycle show, camp-out, races, live music festival, and all around party! This year's show, Strange Days 10, is unfortunately canceled for the time being due to all of the unforeseen circumstances that are out of our hands going on in this crazy world today. Stay tuned for updates on when the show will be rescheduled for.

Factory Chromed '48 EL?

As we arrived at Ride to Skate in Philly a couple years ago, I spotted a chromed bike from a distance, and was drawn to it like a magnet.  Ooooh a panhead + springer = 1948; it was gorgeous.  Struck up a conversation with the owner, Dave Minerva, and found he had just bought it recently.  What a score!  He probably thought I was nuts but oh well haha.
After that, I started seeing the bike at every antique swap meet, and then saw this really cool article about it from the Oley, PA meet 2014, in the latest AMCA magazine.  They talk about the history of the bike, and the possibility of it coming with chromed tins from the factory.  Super interesting; so here's some scans of the article, enjoy!
"While original-paint bikes develop an interesting patina over time, this machine might be said to have a certain 'chrome-tina,' with the weathered plating looking like an artistic representation of faded technological promise."

SD4 CYCLE SOURCE Feature

I was pretty surprised yesterday when I saw STRANGE DAYS on the cover of the latest issue of Cycle Source at the local market!
Thanks to Matt Aims for the photos and first hand account write-up.  And thanks to CYCLE SOURCE magazine for the support.  Pick up a copy!

Cocaine Bandit Sighting...

I picked up the latest issue of Wrench magazine; mainly for insanely cool feature on Larry Pierce's white knucklehead chopper.  The photo shoot was done so perfectly, in true old school Easyriders fashion; definitely one that will go down in history.

I spotted a nice photo of the ol' Cocaine Bandit in the Ride To Skate feature, from when Willis brought her out to Philly this year.  Cool to see people still taking notice of the CB.

Grab a copy while ya can!

Leadfist Cycles

We always run into Kyle and Brandi (and if we're lucky Merc too) at anything cool and motorcycle related here in the northeast.  It's just awesome to see Kyle's amazing shovelhead in a VL frame killing it around the country.  I had the brief chance to congratulate him on his Best Shovelhead award from Born Free this year when I saw them at Strange Days.  That in itself is an insane accomplishment, but then I saw the Oily Souls site; best in show!  Well deserved, by great people.
Gotta share a few photos of our son Lenny haha.

 Congrats!

6th Annual Brooklyn Invitational

Don't miss it; definitely a high point of the year; can't wait to see everyone (and stare up close at some amazing bikes you rarely get to see in person, of course).
